Club racing - Autumn Series
The Dinghy Fleet Autumn Series starts on Sunday 5th September. Start times same as usual (ie. 10.30am for the first morning race, 1.30pm for the first afternoon race). But we return to three fleet starts - Medium, Asymmetric and SJ. 14 races in the series with 6 to count.
The Cruiser Autumn Series starts on Saturday 4th September. 14 races in the series with 6 to count.
The Wednesday Evening racing series ends on Wednesday 1st September.
Wednesday Afternoon racing will continue, with Series 4 starting on 8th September. First race at 1500hrs, second race not before 1545.

Open meetings
The club is hosting a number of open meetings throughout September and October. These are as follows:-

  • Saturday 11th Sept. - DYS open meeting
  • 18th / 19th Sept - 2000 & 3000 open meeting (this will be tagged onto club racing).
  • 25th / 26th Sept. - RYA Midlands Junior Championships
  • 2nd / 3rd October - Sprint 15 and Catapults
  • 16th / 17th October - Osprey / Javelin / Tempests     23rd / 24th October - Waszp

Thank you to all of the volunteers (both on and off the water) who help to organise and put on these events.
 
PLEASE NOTE - The RYA Midlands Junior Championships on 25th / 26th September will be a big event and there will be NO CLUB RACING that weekend.

Congratulations
The RS400 Nationals were held at South Shields SC 23rd - 27th August, with a strong fleet of 50 boats. Flying the flag for Carsington were Mike Sims crewed by Mark Lunn finishing 2nd overall and also Fred Lord and Louise Gale who finished 30th overall. Congratulations and well done to all of you.
