Sailing Overview

The Club offers a wide variety of sailing water based activities, whether it is for the casual sailor or the keen racer. Whichever is your preference you will have lots of space to enjoy your sailing on the ninth largest reservoir in England, lying in the most wonderful setting of the Peak District on the edge of the National Park.

The Club has four slipways, as well as a wide expanse of gently sloping foreshore, ideal for launching shallow draft dinghies and catamarans.
We also have three jetties.  One dedicated to power boats, race control and Sailability; the other two being available for launching keel boats and cruisers.

Whenever you sail at Carsington you will also have the added confidence of knowing that there is always a safety boat and crew on the water keeping an eye on everyone's well being.

The Clubhouse is Open from Wednesday to Sundays throughout the year with the exception of January when it is closed to sailing.
