NOVEMBER 2025 Water Level Report

During October the water level moved very little despite Storms Amy and Béatrice. The River Derwent has reached its normal level to allow pumping so levels should start to rise soon. STW are allowed to pump a maximum of 6% per week but they usually choose a slower rate of 3% per week. If they pump at the maximum rate, starting immediately, Carsington could be full by Christmas, if not March is more likely.
