RYA Adult Dinghy Level 1&2 - March

About this Course - The course is a combined RYA Level 1 (Start Sailing) and RYA Level 2 (Basic Skills) run on 2 consecutive weekends.

Level 1 (Start Sailing) - This course provides an introduction to sailing for beginners. By the end of the course, participants will have a basic understanding of boat handling techniques and background knowledge. And be able to confidently sail with an instructor in the boat.

Level 2 (Basic Skills) - On completion of this course, the participants will be safety conscious, have a basic knowledge of sailing, be able to complete a wide range of manoeuvres and be capable of sailing without an instructor on board in medium and light winds. It will be assumed that every student has already demonstrated the practical skills and absorbed the background knowledge required for Start Sailing Level 1 before completing Level 2.

Who is this course for? - This course is perfect for beginners or those with basic experience, providing the skills and confidence to sail a dinghy safely in a wide range of conditions 

Prerequisites - No prior experience is needed to complete this course. We recommend participants be aged 15 and up

Course Duration - 32 hours over 4 days
