About this course -
The RYA Stage 4 course helps youth take their sailing to the next level. Focusing on advanced boat handling, improved control in different wind conditions, and racing tactics. It covers similar manoeuvres that were learn in stage 3 but now in double handed boats. With practical on-the-water sessions paired with theory sessions on land, participants will gain confidence and improve their teamwork skills to be able to tackle more routes of sailing.
Who is this course for - This course is for those looking to take the next step after stage 3 to expand their sailing knowledge and skills
Prerequisites - RYA Youth Stage 3 or similar sailing level. We recommend ages 8-14 but this is also not a strict rule, Please get in contact if you wish to discuss this further.
Course Duration - 16 hours over 2 days with regular short breaks
Next Steps - RYA Advanced Modules, OnBoard Club, Intermediate Sailing Club and free sailing with junior membership
