Wanderer MD (sail number 1145)

"Vagabond" is a 1994 Wanderer MD with sail number 1145. The 14 foot hull is fibreglass and the spars are aluminium. 

The boat is designed for stable and safe cruising and general leisure sailing. It is also low maintenance. For these reasons it is good for couples or families. It can and has been sailed single handed. It has always been sailed in freshwater and is in good condition for its age. 

Included - all spars and other sailing gear such as newish furling jib (genoa), spinnaker and a little used mainsail with slab reefing. 

Additionally, there is a launching trolley with puncture-proof tyres and matched road trailer. A lighting board available if required. There is an overboom cover in fair condition.

Vagabond was fitted with a steel centreplate by Anglo Marine of Essex, the boat builder. This required strengthening of the centreplate housing and made the whole boat difficult (not impossible) to capsize. This modification, and the extra buoyancy provided with the "MD" specification, makes Vagabond a very safe and stable boat. 

I have the original wooden centreboard with fittings should you wish to lighten the boat by about 80lbs (making it lighter, nimbler and slightly less stable).
