An Introduction to Club Racing

The Sailing Committee have put together some new ideas to help make racing more attractive to new members and make things easy for those who currently race. We have updated and clarified the Sailing Instructions, drawn up a Race Officers Guide and a New to Racing Guide and a simplified guide to the racing rules.

The Sailing Instructions are a simple 4 page format with a single appendix.

To help our Race Officers and Assistants we have produced a one page document with some key guidelines to help them run races.

There is a guide to help those new to racing and help remove some of the mystery from starting racing at Carsington.

In addition we have drafted a simplified set of racing rules.

The Sailing Committee will aim to keep these up to date and together with other useful documents to support racing within the Club.
