Improve your Wingsurfing
The second Wingsurfing course, aimed at further developing your basic skills and preparing you for foiling. Pupils learn about sailing upwind and downwind and maintaining power through their tacks and gybes. You also learn the basics of pumping to help prepare for take-off.

Equipment and set up: Wing of 3.0-5.5m² depending on windspeed and student size. It is easier with a well-powered smaller wing.
Daggerboarded or centre finned board. A foil board may be introduced at the end of the session.
Ideal Conditions: 8-25knots
Teaching ratio: 1:4 max
Aim: This session is to provide students with an enhanced understanding and skills to sail upwind and make progress, as well as improved tacking and gybing. By the end of this session students should be able to leave the shore and make progress towards and away from the wind returning to their starting point.
By the end of the course students will have an increased confidence in their Wingsurfing, improved ability upwind being able to hold course and make progress, as well as enhanced tacking and gybing skills.
